The approach of tapping initially struck me as a somewhat unusual one. Caroline kindly came into Castlemorton CE Primary School via a ZOOM link and ran two half hour sessions with the children in Key Stage Two on ways to support positive mental health and well-being. Milly developed anxiety at the start of her High School, end of year 7 exams. These episodes occurred as she was trying to get to sleep each night and it became increasingly difficult to reason, reassure and relax her. As she became more tired, the anxieties built. This was really out of character and as a parent, I felt powerless to help her work through her worries.

Milly had experienced 'tapping' during her final year of primary school and had used strategies to help her through her Year 6 SATs. She was very open to the opportunity to use 'tapping' again.

Caroline came to see Milly and spent time patiently unpicking her worries and providing Milly with 'tapping' strategies to help her relax and relieve her anxieties. The change in Milly was visible from her first session and that night, she was able to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Whenever, the anxieties crept in again, Milly was able to work through her Tapping routines and bring herself back down.

Caroline's years of experience working with children was clear from the moment she came to help us. Her natural, kind approach instantly put Milly at ease.
